My class today was cut short, so I thought I'd take advantage and post something here. I always love looking through all the cool stuff that shows up in this community, although I don't post or comment very often. I've re-discovered my love of playing with sparkly things, and so thought I'd show off a few items I made, as well as a few pictures of some stuff I made a long time ago that I don't think I ever posted anywhere.
First let's start with the things I made a long time ago...
I had some fun finding different pewter charms on firemountaingems.com a long time ago. I still have a few sets to use up.
Some cane glass beads from David Christensen (also purchased on firemountaingems.com) with a bunch of leftover silver beads that I didn't have enough of for a full project on their own. Shiny rainbows!
Dangly hoop earrings. I've made another pair like this in red and black. They're fun to wear because they move around a bunch and kind of make a tinkly noise. Just a bunch of different techniques for making danglies all attached to a big hoop.
And now for the newer stuff...
Garnet! Onyx! Smokey Quartz! Yum! I really enjoy how smooth these stones look together. It honestly took me a while to decide on how to arrange the beads, the drops were tricky to work with.
Some random glass beads on chain. I like grabbing whatever is left over after a bigger project and throwing it together to see what happens. These turned out quite cute!
VERY dangly earrings. They're a little heavy, but not obnoxiously so. The little black beads (Chinese cut crystal I think?) sparkle quite nicely.
This is my FAVORITE pair I have made recently. Made with dyed and natural quartz. I love how they dangle, and they actually hang nicely when in the ears. I've only just noticed that one of the danglies is not hanging right in the photos, boo. Oh well.
Hope you enjoyed! If there are any questions on where I get my stuff, how I made it, etc, please feel free to ask!
And since we're allowed to promote a bit in this community, here's a link to where I just put these items up for sale:
